Pie Week
June 29th through July 3rd
Each day, four names will be drawn for gift certificates to Hogan's Bakery for single-serving pies. A gift certificate for a large pie will be awarded to the grand prize winner at the end of the week. Patrons must check out an item to be eligible to win the large pie.

Children's Summer Reading Program
Kids in grades K - 4 are invited to join the "Every Hero has a Story!" Summer Reading Program. Programs will be held on Wednesdays, June 10th through July 29th from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M. Please register for this program. For more information call 330-482-5509 or stop in the library.

Computer Classes
Join us at the Columbiana Public Library for summer computer classes on how to use the Internet, create websites, utilize social networking websites, and turn your smart phone or tablet computer into a great camera.
Registration begins May 26th for Internet Level 1 and 2 and June 15th for the others. Please check the calendar for the times/dates for each course.
  • Internet Level 1 - Learn how to access the Internet in the library and from your computer.

  • Internet Level 2 - Learn how to make use of a variety of Internet search features, how to bookmark sites, and how to print Internet content.

  • Internet Level 3 - Learn how to discover information on the weather, movies, driving directions, games and finding cheap gas.

  • Internet Level 4 - Learn how to use the Internet for social networking, find news, e-cards, and take advantage of other fun destinations.

  • Creating a website with Google Sites - Learn how to create a personal or professional website for free.

  • Social Networking for Personal Enrichment - This class will introduce you to Facebook and Pinterest. Prerequisites: Internet Part I or prior Internet experience.

  • Using your cell phone or tablet computer as a camera - Learn how to take good, in-focus photos with your smart device. Also, discover many neat photo apps and services that will allow you to do creative things with your photos.

Independence Day
The library will be closed on July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

How about a movie?
Join us for an old-time movie on July 8th from 2 - 4 P.M. The movie will be a 1941 musical comedy starring Jimmy Stewart and Paulette Goddard. Free refreshments and door prizes will be available courtesy of the Friends of the Library.
